Ayurlife is not just an ayurvedic clinic. We at Ayurlife have synergized the strengths of Ayurveda and Physiotherapy to evolve a unique modality called Physio-Veda to treat conditions like arthritis, frozen shoulder, sports injuries, and more.
Ayurlife is an Indian traditional Ayurvedic and Marma (vital areas of the body) clinic established in Singapore in 2011, specialising in not only more than 30 different forms of Ayurvedic therapies such as Abhyangam, Shirodhara, Podikizhi, Nasyam, Pizhichil, Thakradhara and Udwarthanam among others, but also a new type of treatment called Physio-Veda.
Before we go into the benefits of Physio-Veda, let’s learn a little about what a Marma is.
What is Marma?
The National Health Portal of India defines a Marma point as a junction on the body where two or more types of tissues meet, such as muscles, veins, ligaments, bones, or joints. According to the Oxford dictionary, a Marma point is a sensitive point in the body through which energy is believed to flow, and which is believed to govern particular mental or physical functions. Thus the practice of massaging such points gives a therapeutic effect on the body and heals various types of ailments.
What is Physio-Veda?
Physio-Veda is the first of its kind in Singapore and was created for the effective management of selected, specific medical conditions that include Musculoskeletal problems, neurological conditions as well as sports injuries.
